I just wrote a post on Salomé, research, and the question of what constitutes cheating when writing an alternate history, but it was so incoherent that I stopped myself before hitting the "Post" button. To bed, I think, before my brain turns to mush.

My mother has become obsessed with BBC adaptations of classic literature, and tonight we watched the first half of the 2009 Emma. It was charming and fun, and Mom loved it, much to my amusement.
